The Columbia-area branch of America's premiere trout fishing organization. Trout Unlimited is dedicated to protecting, restoring, and sustaining America's rivers and streams. The Saluda River Chapter is involved in protecting and maintaining the Lower Saluda trout fishery produced by the cold water which comes from the bottom of Lake Murray. The fishery begins below the dam and continues down to the confluence of the Saluda and Broad Rivers at the Gervais Street Bridge. The Saluda River Chapter also supports and helps fund conservation activities on trout streams in the upstate. The organization holds monthly meetings and its current president is Luke McCary. | |
