Good sizes and numbers reported the last couple weeks. I have found my luck tobe just as the tide heads back out. Live mud minnows on a carolina rig.
just for the sake of reporting, last week a guy set into a 35-40 lbs ray while were out there. It was cool seeing everyone freak out when I removed the hook. good luck everyone.

I don't know that area very well, but I've hooked big rays down around the Fripp Jetties and they can really get your blood pumping - until you see that it's not a huge flounder. Someone more experienced would probably be able to tell the difference but they both pull hard and stay low, and then even sometimes you get that first half glimpse and you see a huge flat fish and think - Oh my God.

Then you see that damened tail beating!
