Smokin catfish bite

The catfish have really been tearin it up lately.Drifting thru areas that have lots of baitfish around have really been paying off.Lots of the big feeder creeks have been producing big catches.20 to 35 foot has been the most productive.Mixed bags of blues, channels, whites and flatheads have been caught.A recent outing I had below Dreher Island produced 462 lbs of catfish in a 7 hour period.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I am getting sick of the striper skunks. What are you using for bait?

Good to hear you guys are catching them cats near Dreher Island. I've been busy in the woods so have not had fishing on my mind yet. But will plan on a trip soon. My favorite spot for cats is around the drop offs of Macedonia Church area. Maybe you guys were near there when you caught that mess of cats.
