Our 2008 SC UpState Divisional Champions Bobby Ayers and Ryan Bowman are showing that they intend on winning the title again by taking the 1st tournament of the new year for the Pro Series anglers. Their five bass weighed in at 13.95 lbs and was anchored by a 5.41 lb. big bass. They took home a total of $1,120.00 for their effort and credited a jig for their success. Taking second were Roy Stuart and Jerry Hart with a limit weighing 13.08 lbs. They had 2nd big bass of the tournament which was worth $68.00 to go along with their $625.00 2nd place check. Finishing third were Jerry Perkins and Ron Dickerson with five bass weighing 12.73 lbs. good for a $350.00 payday and in fourth were Todd Pearson and Glenn Kimbrell with a limit weighing 12.54 lbs. They took home $217.00 and said they used a jigging spoon and pink rat for their catch! The next tournament for the SC UpState anglers is set for February 15th on Lake Hartwell out of Broyle's Landing.
