Thanks to tournament director Phil Shope for results.

34 boats fished in this tournament, with numbers slightly down because of cross-overs with the BFL Event on Hartwell. Director Phil Shope expects 50-75 boats for the next tournament on May 2 on Lake Hartwell.

Anglers were lucky to have a beautiful day to fish and said that the fish were all still pre-spawn - not a single fish was reported to be on a bed. The winning weight was caught on a suspending jerkbait, and many successful anglers reported using Gulp! lizards and worms.

90% of the teams weighed in a limit, and 100% of those fish were released alive. Winners were:

1st Place - Bill Mosher and Bill Duncan of Georgia with 17.63 pounds. They also won the big fish award with a 6.55 pound lunker. They won $1160.00 for first place, another $500.00 for the first place bonus from Superior Grading, another $500.00 for being the highest finishing Ranger boaters, and another $500.00 for big fish for a total of $2660.00!

2nd place - Steve and Brad Anderson of Fletcher, NC with 15.05 lbs.

3rd place - Allen Watts and Dennis Clark of Candler, NC with 14.63.

4th place (tie) - Gary and Perry Rogers of Seneca and Keith and Josh Gray of Asheville with 12.80 pounds.
