Mullet

I went down to Beaufort for the day today (my fiancee and I are getting married there this fall) because we had to do some wedding planning. Exactly.

Of course I didn't get to fish since it was a busy day trip, but I got to walk by the water at Hunting Island and beside several creeks. I have never seen so many mullet in my life... I'm used to seeing some stay here for the winter, but not this many. It was amazing. Acres and acres - everywhere.

I wonder if any local guys have noticed more than usual this mild winter.
