Spotted Bass

Anybody know anything about the spawning ritual for spots? I just wonder if it's similar to largemouths, or if it's something different. Temps, depths,areas, etc.. I'll be fishing Hartwell soon and wondered what to expect. Bank Pounder Jim.

Not too sure about they spawn, but last year around this time late through March/April the only place I caught big spots was off rip-rap and bridges. This was primarily occuring up the Seneca River.
