Jay,

I was wondering if you could give me some info where that landing is? Because I always fish the north end at Falls Creek landing. And if you could I have really never fished a tourny before if you could give me some info and some tips. I no you def. need a live well with pumps to keep the fish alive but I do not no about the rules and areas not to fish and the times and that basic stuff. And basicly how to fish tourny's

Thanks, Bassmaster

Bassmaster,

I don't fish many tournaments so I'm probably not the best one to ask. Hopefully someone else can help. Also I don't know Keowee very well - hopefully one of the locals can give directions to the landing, but Google Maps is always a good resource.

However, stay tuned for an article (probably December '09 / January '10) with a general overview of tournament bass fishing in SC.

Take care,

Bassmaster

Gaphill landing is directly across from Mile Creek Landing
Off of Hwy 183.Also you will need some type of areation to keep bass alive. You can have 5 fish need to be atleast 12in long to weigh in.Tournaments usually are from safelight to 3:00 but subject to change.Usually HotHole/Skimmer wall is off limits but you will need to ask Dennis Landrum from fish the Fall about that also. Fish the Fall is a great trail to fish,I think you would enjoy it.If you have any questions about Keowee feel free to ask.
