Turned out the weather man hit it on the head for once as rain poured during the 1st 2009 CATT Santee Qualifier with 17 teams entered. Usually cloudy weather equals good fishing and Jeff Parsons of Florence and Kevin Pierce of Timmonsville were in the right spots. They weighed in 5 bass at 26 lbs 23 ozs to take home $500.00 for 1st Place.

2nd Place went to Perry Holloway of Sumter and Danny Lowery of Gables with another limit weighing in at 19 lbs 8 ozs. They also took home the BONUS $ worth $200.00. All total they collected $440.00

3rd Place went to Joe Avin of Summerton and Brian Jeffords of Lugoff with 5 bass weighing 17 lbs 6 ozs. They also had the BF at 5 lbs 13 ozs pushing their total winnings to $219.00.

John and Dianne Geddings of Sumter brought in the 2nd Place BF at 5 lbs 8 ozs good enough for $51.00.

All 17 teams are now qualified to enter the 2-day CATT Classic on Lake Wateree May 30-31 with a possible $15,000.00 on the line!

The Santee Cooper Spring 2009 Final Fund stands at $350.00 and 1st Place at the Final will receive a minimum of $2,500.00. Next Santee Cooper CATT is March 14 at John C. Land.
