The BASS Weekend Series launched out of Dreher Island State Park this Saturday. 125 anglers participated, with 63 on the Pro side and 62 on the Amateur side. Conditions were warm and clear but windy, but with water temperatures in the high 40s a hot bite never materialized. The big fish on the Pro side was 6.38 pounds caught by David Heatherly, and on the Amateur side the big fish was a 4.38 lb bass caught by Ryan Coyle. The top anglers on both sides follow:
