The CATT Lake Murray Trail continues to grow with the 2009 Spring Final payback exceeding 2008s payback by over $2,000.00. 4th Place at the 2008 Lake Murray Spring Final received $600.00 but 4th place this past Saturday took home over $1000.00! Matter of a fact the top 4 places at the 2009 Murray Spring Final took home over $7,000.00! Thanks guys and we enjoy the friendships we’ve developed over the past few years. A big THANK YOU goes out to Steve Keller and Jeff Douglas who have really worked hard to build the Murray trail up to where it is. Hey, but we have more room to grow so we will keep working to increase the trail again next year!
At the conclusion of the 2008 Murray Spring Final Howard Stephens of Columbia and Mark McCormick of Chapin had finished up in 2nd Place. To improve on that finish they had to move up one place and that’s exactly what they did Saturday at the CATT 2009 Spring Murray Final. Howard and Mark also won the point race again and received free entry at the Final so all they needed was a little gas money for Saturdays tournament. When the weigh scales were closed Howard and Mark had beat out 45 teams with a total weight of 23 lbs 1 oz and took home $2,500.00 for 1st Place. Arthur State Bank chipped in another $500.00 and their total take home pay added up to $3,000.00! Add their Saturdays winning to their previous CATT winnings and they are closing in on the $8,000.00 mark! Good job guys!
Neil Huffstetler of Pomaria and Tim Huffstetler of Little Mountain recently won the 2008 CATT Fall Final and are past winners of the Spring Final and they came close again Saturday. They weighed in a limit of bass weighing 20 lbs 1 oz to take 2nd Place and they also won the 1st Place BONUS $. All total they collected $2,040.00! After Saturdays check Neil and Tim have took home over $10,000.00 in CATT winnings!
Phillip Anderson and Andy Lake both of Saluda wrapped up 3rd Place with another limit weighing in at 19 lbs 12 ozs and they won the 2nd Place BONUS $. They received $1,135.00.
Ronnie Mueller of Prosperity and Wayne Frierson of Columbia were fishing their 1st CATT Final and they were rewarded with a check totaling $1,015.00. They weighed in a limit at 19 lbs 11 ozs and finished in 4th Place plus they had the 1st Place BF with a 5 lb 9 oz bass.
Coming in 5th were Davey Thomas and Chris Hawkins both of Sumter with a limit weighing 19 lbs 8 ozs and they took home $500.00
Kevin Fulmer of Prosperity and Al Fortner of Ninety Six weighed in 19 lbs 1 oz and received $400.00 for their 6th Place finish.
Clay Riddle and Mike Riddle both of Chapin weighed in 18 lbs 13 ozs and took home $300.00 for 7th Place.
2008 Murray Spring Final winners Chris Epting of Chapin and Johnny Mayer of Pomaria brought in 18 lbs 4 ozs to take home $240.00 for their 8th Place finish.
Taking home the last money place were Josh McGregor of Timmonsville and Randall Driggers of Turbeville with 17 lbs 15 ozs and they received $175.00
Charlie Sansbury and Gary Metts both of Chapin had the 2nd Place BF with a 5 lb 5 oz bass and took home $135.00
