11/5 Report

Left work a little early and got rewarded with a great afternoon of schooling action. The water opened up and never slowed down. First a wave of green fish rolled in and after 45 minutes of catching largemouth the stripers showed up in force. Lots of cookie cutter 15" to 18" stripes. 30 minutes before dark the bigger girls showed up. Switched to a clouser and had 2 fish run hard and break me off. Upgraded tippet and the game was on. Landed 3 more before they stayed down.

From the Gap to the Bend. Today they were @ the Church. Looking for bait and stopping. I would have enjoyed some freelines this afternoon. Gooooooooooooooood fish stacked @ 8' near the channel. Flies are matching the small forage good right now and I was catching 4:1 over conventional guys in the boat beside me. Let me know how you do.

I'm guessing you are matching threadfin shad. Seems like the herring have disappeared and the threadfin took over. I may get a 1/4 mesh net and start using them
