Catawba Catfish Club Tournament 7-25-09

The Catawba Catfish Club will be having our 7th Tourney of the year on Saturday evening 7-25 on Lake Wateree out of Wateree Creek Access.We had an awesome turnout of 38 boats at the June event and it would be awesome to match or better that figure on the July event.Heck lets shoot for 40+ this go around.Hoefully we will have a good weather pattern that weekend and the crowd will be ready to catch some Lake Wateree Blues for another heavy weigh in.Remember Blast Off is at 6:00pm sharp and and end time is 1:00am with weigh in starting at 1:30am.Be sure to get there early and get signed up,parking is at a minimum this time of year.Jeff and I will be there around 4:00pm to start signing folks up.
Lets get the roll call started on who is gonna make it with some predictions on Big Fish and Winning 3 Fish Stringer,there have been some fine fish weighed in at each event so far this year and the July bite should also produce some good weights with the spawn being over.

The Catawba Catfish Club had our 7th Tourney of the year on Saturday Evening/Night.It was a beautiful night on the water,a little hot at the start but nice as darkness set in.We had 31 Boats/67 Paying Competitors and 2 Kids who fished free show up to challenge Lake Waterees Blue Cats.The bite was pretty slow for the most part but as usual a few teams found some nice fish and made for a competitive weigh in.Once again the local team from Wateree came thru with the win.We met alot of new faces.We also would like to thank everyone else for coming out and making it another great tourney,Congrats to Jonathon and Ronnie on their hawg Blue that got Big Fish as well,way to go Ronnie.
The results and payouts along with a couple of pics of 1st place and Big Fish follows:

1st-Scotty and Pat Miller 69.95 lbs Total and $670
2nd-Mark Stanley and Jimmy Morton-50.20 lbs and $400
3rd-Jonathon Rambo and Ronnie Thompson-40.30 lbs and $270 and also Big Fish of 40.30 lbs and $310
4th-Jeff Manning and Wayne ? 39.95 lbs
5th-Dean Birch and Seth 39.90 lbs
6th-Eric Jenkins and Brett Alexander 38.45 lbs

That about wraps it up,Thanks to all for coming out and Hope to see you in August on Lake Wylie,would love to see a good crowd on Wylie,its coming on strong to Wateree and has some giant Blues and Flatheads.Yall keep on showing your support and come on out and give Wylie a try.
