Fished for cats off my pier yesterday in Little Allison. We ended up with 17 cats with the largest about 8 lbs. Usually, the bite is close to the pier, but yesterday, you had to throw just as far as you could out toward the center of the creek. Even with the long cast, the water is only about 9' deep.

Also, tried for the perch with no luck at all.
