The Lugoff Bassmasters is a group of bass fishermen looking for new members. Both boaters and non-boaters are welcome. They meet for fellowship and dinner, followed by a meeting, at Plum's Restaurant in Lugoff at 6:00 PM the Thursday before each tournament. Tournaments are approximately once a month - please see the Tournament Information page for more information. Scheduled 2008 tournaments include: 1. Lake Wylie= Feb 24. 2. Lake Russell= Mar 15 & 26. 3. Lake Hartwell= Apr 19 & 20. 4. Lake Thurmond= May 17 & 18. 5. Lake Murray= June 7. 6. Lake Wateree= July 12 & Aug 16. The Five Lakes Fishing Club is a black bass fishing club whose members are primarily fisherman from the Greenwood, South Carolina area. They fish 5 lakes twice a year: Greenwood, Russell, Clarks Hill, Murray and Hartwell. At the end of the season, they hold an awards banquet and crown a points champion. They also award prize money to the top twenty in club points. The Five Lakes Fishing Club has around 75 boats fishing its tournaments, but they are also accepting new members. Anyone looking to join a bass club in the area should contact Jeff O'dell. |

The Carolina Angler's Team Trail is a black bass tournament series. Their South Carolina Spring Tournament Series features tournaments in February through May on Lakes Murray, Wateree, and Wylie, and each series is capped off with a Spring Final.
